Joining the Early Years Academy as an Area Manager has been one of the most fulfilling steps in my professional
journey. From day one, I was welcomed not just into a role, but into a community with purpose and a clear shared vision. On my very first day, I received a welcome pack and immediate access to everything I needed to begin, including system logins and our CPD platform. It was a small but significant gesture that spoke volumes. It made me feel prepared,
invested in, and truly valued from the outset – a reflection of the company's ethos in action. That early sense of Belonging has only deepened over time. I’ve never worked somewhere where I’ve felt so aligned – not only in terms of values, but in having the freedom to contribute meaningfully. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role has been the opportunity to create and roll out initiatives I’m truly passionate about – especially around promoting positive mental health across our teams. To be trusted to explore new ideas, trial opportunities, and shape initiatives that support emotional wellbeing – and to do so with the full backing of the Senior Leadership Team – is incredibly empowering. It’s a powerful example of what belonging looks like in practice: being seen, being heard, and being supported to make a difference. Being part of The Early Years Academy also allows me to simply be, to lead authentically, to support others, and to show up with purpose each day. The culture here is built on trust, reflection, and partnership – not pressure. I’ve had the space to build genuine relationships with our nursery teams, and I’ve felt encouraged every step of the way to be thoughtful, present, and people-focused in my approach. And just as we nurture children’s potential through our ethos of Becoming, I too have grown here – both professionally and personally. The Early Years Academy isn’t just a workplace, it’s a place where people, ideas and values come to life. It is where what you care about matters And where you are supported to be the very best version of yourself, for the benefit of the children, the families, and the team around you. I’m proud to be part of The Early Years Academy – a company that not only stands for something, but lives it.
