Introducing The Wellbeing Academy at The EYA
Nurturing children, empowering educators, and supporting families through the 3 B’s: Belonging, Being and Becoming
At The Early Years Academy, we believe that wellbeing is the foundation for every child’s development, every educator’s growth, and every family’s experience with us. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our new Wellbeing Academy, a dedicated space within our curriculum and culture that places mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing at the heart of all we do.
Rooted in our core philosophy of the 3 B’s, Belonging, Being, and Becoming, the Wellbeing Academy is designed to foster resilience, encourage self-awareness, and build strong, supportive relationships that last a lifetime.
Belonging
Belonging means feeling safe, valued, and connected. We create environments where every child, family, and team member feels seen and supported. From our family-friendly settling-in sessions to our open communication with parents and our team-building culture, belonging is not just a word, it’s a lived experience in every room, garden, and conversation.
Being
Being is about being present in the moment, enjoying childhood, embracing curiosity, and slowing down in an often fast-paced world. Whether it’s through mindfulness activities, unhurried play, or quiet time in nature, we encourage children and educators alike to connect with the here and now, creating calm, joyful moments that support emotional wellbeing.
Becoming
Becoming reflects our commitment to growth, both for children as they explore the world around them, and for our staff as they develop their professional practice. We offer continual training, reflective practice sessions, and wellbeing support for educators, recognising that when our team feels cared for and empowered, they can give their best to the children in their care.
The Wellbeing Academy will weave together thoughtful activities, gentle routines, and meaningful interactions to build a culture of care, where mental health is protected, emotional literacy is nurtured, and every individual feels equipped to thrive.
-
By supporting children, we help them recognise and manage their emotions, build friendships, and develop confidence from the earliest age.
-
By supporting educators, we provide the tools and time to reflect, recharge, and grow professionally and personally.
-
By supporting families, we strengthen the vital home-nursery partnership, offering guidance, empathy, and practical support to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
The Wellbeing Academy is a natural extension of our ethos and a reflection of everything we stand for at The Early Years Academy. Because when wellbeing is prioritised, potential is unlocked.
