What is The EYA Intergenerational Academy?

The EYA Intergenerational Academy aims to provide a safe and nurturing space where children and elderly residents come together to participate in joint activities.

These interactions build essential skills such as communication, empathy, and confidence in our children while offering companionship and joy to the residents. Our academy, known as FLAGS (Friendship and Learning Across Generations), highlights our commitment to fostering intergenerational bonds.

Both our nursery and the care homes have dedicated activity teams that collaborate to create engaging and enjoyable activities for all participants. The activities mirror those at the nursery, ensuring familiarity and comfort for the children while being suitable and enjoyable for the residents. Our planned activities include:
